Freedom of Engagement 

We believe that everyone has the right to engage in work and to pursue a freely chosen occupation as a result of their own free will and needs, as opposed to being forced in any way by any other party. UPM forbids the use of slavery, servitude, the use of prison labour or forcibly indentured labour.

Children and Young Workers

One of our highest principles as a company is that we stand firmly against the inappropriate employment of young workers. We do not endorse child labour and we do not employ children however we fully support educational and training related programs and apprenticeships that enrich their formal education.

UPM employees are free to join or decide to refrain from joining legally authorized associations or organizations that support their interest.
